Scott Woodford is the inventor of Keep On Kovers. He rides a recumbent. With the lower angle, his cleats used to slide on the pavement at traffic stops. He wondered what he could do to get some traction, and after three years of experimenting came up with Keep On Kovers. Now he won't ride without them!
