About Silca Pocket Impero Mini Pump

Silca sought to end the frustration associated with most mini pumps with the creation of the Pocket Impero. Using the same impeccable ergonomics and full CNC Aluminum head from the Impero, brass check valve shared with the Impero and SuperPista and steam formed 3mm thick leather gasket from Milan as the Impero, the Pocket Impero changes the game as the first full metal, fully functional Pocket Pump.
However, it was not enough to just shrink the Impero - the Pocket Impero adds some impressive technology of its own. The unique Slide-Lock Silicone Insulating sleeve both improves grip while protecting hands from the heat of pumping to high pressures (another issue for mini pumps) and when finished, slides back into place to double as a handle lock when in your pocket. Mirror honed internals allow for the highest pumping efficiency and lowest stroke count of any pocket (mini) pump.
The result: Inflation takes place with fewer strokes, less headache than any other mini-pump.
The Silca Pocket Impero is between a high pressure and high volume pump. Mostly, it is an efficient pump which does not suffer from efficiency loss when hot, which is why most of them don't work so well. At 200 strokes the Pocket Impero reaches higher pressures than any other pocketable pump ever tested in the BikeRadar test protocol, meaning that it is pushing more air with fewer losses than pumps of either high pressure, or high volume designs.

More About The Manufacturer Silca

Silca pumps are serviceable in seconds. They require no tools for disassembly, and the few parts that wear out are easy to replace. The leather piston cup in the Pista, for example, needs only an occasional dab of grease to keep it lubricated and pumping, and the rubber seal in the brass head is similarly easy to service. Moreover, replacement parts are available all over the world. It is almost impossible to find a bike shop that does not carry service parts for Silca pumps. If you want the best pump and donít want to keep buying pumps year after year, there is only one choice for you: Silca. Beautiful Italian styling is the bonus.
