Building on the legacy of our original Padrone road tubeless tyre is the Padrone-TR (Tubeless Ready). Using Maxxis' TR technology from their mountain bike tires along with a ONE70 (170 TPI) casing and a carbon fiber bead, they were able to create a race-ready tubeless road tire weighing just 260g for a 23c size! The Padrone-TR also features their SilkShield technology, protecting the tire from bead to bead.
Foldable beads also keep the tire secured to the rim but are lighter weight and easily transported. The bead is made of spun aramid or Kevlar Fibers.
Carbon Fibre Bead
A flexible material with greater strength to withstand the forces exerted by a high-pressure road tire.
Two compounds used within the tread of select tires to offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip
SilkShield offers protection from bead-tobead whereas Silkworm is found under the tread only. SilkShield provides an additional level of protection for sidewalls as well as under the tread.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless Tires Provide The Rider With Many Benefits: The Ability To Run Lower Air Pressures, Which Improves Traction; Lower Rolling Resistance When Compared To A Tube-type Tire; And Less Chance Of Flatting Since There Is No Tube. Liquid Sealants Should Only Be Used In The Following Types Of Tires: Tubeless Road, Tubular, And Tubeless Ready. The Use Of Liquid
