Ponytail Friendly & Eyewear Docking
Not only is the ARS ponytail-friendly, but it prevents any hotspots or pressure points by making the adjustment around the entire circumference of the head. For added convenience eyewear can easily be docked in the specially designed slots of the helmet. Other welcome features include thinner straps and reflective stickers.

Polycarbonate Roll-Cage & Bottom Shell
The helmet foam is sandwiched around an additional polycarbonate layer during construction. In the same way as the roll cage of a rally car, this layer keeps the foam together after a crash providing additional protection in the event of additional impacts. Polycarbonate bottom shell finishing looks great and helps protect the helmet foam from cosmetic damage.

What Is MIPS?
MIPS stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet developed by brain surgeons and scientists to reduce rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head. The MIPS system is designed to mimic what your dome and skull do in an impact, namely allow a little bit of movement in order to protect the more important component. In your dome's case, there's a fluid layer between the dome and the skull that acts as a buffer.
