Run wild when you ride wide on the Campagnolo Zonda C17 Wheelset.

The new Campagnolo Zonda C17 Wheelset has been structurally optimized and ensures greater options in terms of clincher tyre choice in addition to an even better braking feel compared to previous versions.
The Campagnolo Zonda wheelset has become a staple in the Campagnolo wheelset range; while it won’t be seen under the bikes that will roll down the streets of Paris on the last stage of the Tour, it's a winner in many other ways.
One of the most reliable wheelsets available, the Campagnolo Zonda doesn’t come with any reduction in performance. With performance above and beyond any other wheel in its class, in addition to reliability that would be the envy of any wheel, seeing the Zonda mounted on even top professionals training bikes doesn’t seem out of place at all.
With a wheel so dialed in, so universally appreciated and so successful the engineering staff at the Campagnolo headquarters in Vicenza made every effort to maintain all of the performance and durability characteristics of this fantastic model while incorporating improvements where possible.
Building upon such a universally appreciated wheel was to be no easy task and after much consideration an improvement strategy similar to that of the Shamal Ultra wheel upgrade was implemented.
Keeping the rest of the wheel as close to the previous version as possible while adding a new and more efficient, performance-oriented rim was the recipe used to deliver the all new Zonda C17.
This newest version of the Zonda wheelset comes in at a 1596 grams placing it as perhaps the lightest C17 wheelset in its segment while still living up to its reputation as an indestructible performance product.
Wider tyre option: With 25mm clinchers becoming the standard if not the new minimum sizing for road riding and racing, wider C17 rim ensures a more efficient shape of the tire, improving cornering grip and safety while reducing aerodynamic drag and rolling resistance.
Differentiated Rim Height
Precision milling: to eliminate excess material and weight where not needed
RDB: Rim Dynamic Balance
MoMag Technology: Due to the manufacturing method, the tire bed is free of spoke holes, so there's no need for rim tape. This results in structural superiority
Aluminum oversize flange
Front Hub: 16 aerodynamic radial spokes
Rear Hub: 21 aerodynamic radial spokes in MEGA G3 pattern
Cup and cone bearings

Shamal Ultra Rim Brake Clincher C17
Zonda Rim Brake Clincher C17

It shall be the end user's sole and full responsibility to choose - on a case by case basis - an adequate and correct rim-tyre-pressure combination, as well as to conduct all verifications necessary to ascertain the correctness and safety of such combination. Without prejudice to the above, and in order to ensure optimum rolling resistance, grip and, most importantly, safety, we recommend that the end user, in making his choice, also takes into consideration the recommended combinations of hooked rim width, tyre width and tyre pressure indicated in the chart set forth below.

Due to safety reasons, follow the information of the tyre manufacturer regarding minimum and maximum rim width to be used but always ensure that the combination is listed as possible in this table.

Campagnolo Zonda C17

By: on 15 August 2020
I bought a set of C17 Zondas during the upgrade from 10 to 11 speed as the other wheelset on my bike is ultegra but 10 speed only, so I picked up a brand new Zonda wheelset complete with Continental GP 4000II's 25c tyres and a Campagnolo 11s cassette (as if you do your homework at 11 speed cassettes and chains are compatible with the big 3"Shimano Campagnolo and SRAM " so I can now upgrade to 11 speed) but back to the Zondas, OK after riding on Ultegra with 23c Hutchinson Fusion 2 tyres and changing to slightly wider tyres with a wheel witch is a 17mm clincher (ultegra is 13mm)this wheelset spreads the tyres out more and if you're wondering it is pretty easy to get tyres on and off the new model Zonda, It is noticeable straight away how much more comfortable these wheels are and they are fast too, I can go quick in and out of corners with the confidence that you have all the grip you need and get straight back on the power, I must say over the last few years I always ran 23c tyres for the speed but the game is changing with lots of manufacturers now making wider rims suited to 25c tyres and I'm grateful for it as I have all the speed on the Zondas with a comfortable ride as well and trust me on the narrower wheels with 23c I feel every bump but the Zondas are still stiff enough to put power down especially since it has Campagnolo's G3 lacing in the rear which puts twice as many spokes on the drive side than the non drive side 14/7 for a total of 21 bladed spokes. So this brilliant Campagnolo wheelset is within reach of most people they're not overly expensive especially if you grab them on sale, I have had expensive Mavic's and this Zonda wheelset is half of the price and rides just as good, I am so glad that I bought them as I was going to buy a 4 figure wheelset and I can honestly say that I would have thrown my money away, they're light and an exceptional quality product that I would buy again for another bike build. So to sum it all up buy this wheelset put some Conti tyres on and go have fun with the confidence of plenty of grip and superb handling and speed and let the tyres eat up some of the bumps. 9/10
