You've spent your whole career treating lactate like the enemy. For decades, exercise science treated it the same way. Then we discovered lactate is energy that your muscles, heart, and brain burn when you push yourself.

C2:1PRO Lactate Gel Mix is the first drinkable gel formulated with lactate as the key fuel source. After two full seasons of testing, it’s the exact formula Tadej Pogačar and UAE Team Emirates XRG raced with at the 2026 Tour de France. Side note: They won.

A New Fuel Pathway

Enervit’s Lactate Gel Mix pairs 90g of carbs with 10g of sodium lactate. Your gut can only absorb so many carbs per hour, and lactate isn’t one of them. It travels a different pathway, so it doesn’t compete with glucose or fructose for absorption. That gives your working muscles a separate source of energy in addition to the carbs you’re consuming.

Hits Muscles Faster

Lactate becomes available to your working muscles within about 15 minutes. That’s 2x faster than fructose and 3x faster than glucose.

Glucose and fructose have to cross your gut wall through dedicated transporters for processing before your muscles ever see them. Lactate, on the other hand, is a smaller molecule that moves more directly into your bloodstream.

Built on the science of lactate

Lactate Gel Mix was co-developed with two of the biggest names in performance science.

Prof. George A. Brooks is the author of the Lactate Shuttle Theory. For more than five decades, his research has reshaped modern physiology, showing that lactate isn’t a waste product. It’s a principal fuel for your muscles and a central regulator of energy metabolism.

Dr. Iñigo San Millán has spent 30+ years turning metabolic science into results in elite sport, including pioneering high-carbohydrate fueling protocols. He co-developed the formulation to work in real race conditions, not just in a lab.

Enervit brought it together, turning the science into a finished product with the formulation, taste, and packaging to meet the demands of the world’s best athletes.

How and When to Take Enervit Lactate Gel Mix

How to Mix It: Mix one gel pack with 500-750ml of water and shake well. A 550ml bottle is the sweet spot. It’s the size Tadej Pogačar has been seen using, so we’ve paired it with our 550ml Feed Grip Bottle, available above.

When to Consume: Use it during your most demanding efforts or races, when fatigue is stacking up and you want every fuel source working for you. Start sipping right before the going gets tough, and pace it steadily rather than all at once. Stick to one pouch per race or session, since it carries 2,050mg of sodium
