With a rim profile of 45 mm and a set weight of only 1200 grams, the Artech 4.A combines ultra lightweight with suburb aerodynamics and cross-wind stability.
The ultimate wheelset for climbing the Alps and Pyrenees facing unexpected cross-winds, both for paved and smooth gravel roads.
Besides an extreme low weight and aerodynamic advantage, the Artech 4.A provides a high lateral stiffness and doesn't compromise in durability. The 25 mm internal width hooked tyre bed is aerodynamically optimised for 30 mm road and off-road gravel tyres.
FEATURES
- Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics: The shape of the rims is defined by Scope's Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics (AEA) technology. This algorithm optimises the most aerodynamic rim-profile guaranteeing optimal aerodynamic performance.
- Surface Structure Aerodynamics: The Aeroscales generate velocity streaks travelling at different speed over the rim surface. This has a stabilising effect on the airflow and reduces drag.
- Lightweight design: With Scope's Local Reinforcement carbon technology, the number of carbon layers around the spoke holes on the inside of the rim has been increased. This way weight is significantly reduced while preserving strength and stiffness.
- Perfect tyre-fit: The unique geometry of the Scope Tubeless System ensures easy mounting, direct inflation, long-lasting pressure and compatibility with all clincher and tubeless tyres.
- Lightweight 3D printed: The lightweight bone like hub structure design is a result of topology optimisation. Using Scalmalloy material in combination with the latest 3D-printing technology, Scope has been able to manufacture this unique, lightweight and strong hub design.
- Lightweight and durable: The Diamond Ratchet SL system is made from titanium and finished with a diamond like carbon coating. This results in direct engagement, improved durability, and a significant reduction in weight.
- Ultra-light and Aerodynamic: The lightweight Carbonlite Aerospokes provide high lateral stiffness resulting in increased efficiency when accelerating and climbing. The optimised aerodynamic shape of the spoke reduces aerodynamic drag.
