The Service Course SL-88 is the traditional road racer's bar. The classic round drop shape has been refined based on modern fitters while retaining the familiar feel and proven ergonomics of a traditional round road bar.

The SL-88 allows the athlete a "long and low" position in the drops while the ends of the drops provide a horizontal flat position for the rider to rest straight down upon. This versatility comes from the bar's longer 88mm reach (the horizontal distance from the bar's stem clamp area to centre of the brake perch) and deeper 130mm drop (vertical distance from bar's stem clamp area to bottom of drops).In addition, the bar's 14 ramp angle (the slope of the bar from the curve of the tops to the brake perch) provides a smooth transition to the brake hoods for a comfortable ergonomic hand position on the hoods.
